Attention all Eagle Nation Parents. Each week we will be inviting parents of students from a particular grade to have lunch with the office staff and teachers. We would like to take this opportunity to get to know each of you better and understand what your goals are for your children as well as the school. Next week would like to ask all FIRST-GRADE parents to attend Thursday September 4th at 11 am. Our fabulous cooks will be preparing Mac and Cheese. Please come and enjoy this delicious lunch with us and help make the Nest the best place for your children! Open gym Sunday 5-7, please spread the word and add anyone interested to this group. Our first game is scheduled for August 25th so we plan to practice as much as we can starting next week.

‘Twas the night before school, and all through the halls, Not a sneaker was squeaking, no echoes from walls. The classrooms were waiting, so shiny and clean, For laughter and learning and everything in between. The pencils were sharpened, the whiteboards wiped down, New dreams were arriving from all over town. Backpacks were ready, lined up with care, With hopes that a bright, new school year was there. Parents were whispering soft little prayers, While teachers reviewed lesson plans in their chairs. Students were tucked in with thoughts in their heads, new friends, and what outfit to thread. And over Salyersville, in the soft golden light, A rainbow appeared—what a magical sight! A sign full of promise, of fresh starts and grace, A reminder that joy finds the simplest place. So here’s to the memories we’re soon gonna make, To the giggles, the growth, and the chances we take. May this year be bright, may kindness rule— Welcome back, Salyersville Eagles. Let’s rock this school! 💛💙
