Dear SGS Families,

I am honored, proud, and excited to be the principal of Salyersville Grade School. I eagerly anticipate a successful year collaborating with the staff and community to ensure our students have an exceptional educational experience.

As Principal last year, I feel we grew tremendously. Our dedicated staff serviced 400+ students. Every year SGS strives to provide a high-quality program that supports the academic, social, and emotional growth of its students. We are proud to offer a challenging educational program, an award winning academic team, an ever-growing sports program, and a host of club opportunities that offers something for everyone. SGS encourages its students to get involved and stay involved. We believe it is important to be connected to the school through positive relationships, a sense of community, and participation in extracurricular opportunities.

We are pleased to announce that many changes will be noticed at SGS for the current school year. We have several new faces on our staff at SGS that look forward to being a part of our valuable team. Some staff members are in new roles this school year. 

Our staff recognizes the role they play in helping your children reach their full potential, and they do not take the responsibility lightly. We truly believe all students can be successful, and this belief drives the work they do on a daily basis. Attendance is the upmost important aspect of your child’s education. We ask that all parents make the greatest effort to have your child at school, on time, and prepared every day. Parent involvement too is vital to your children’s success, and we ask that you continue to play an active role in their education.
